*FACTS FROM THE ROAD

04.07.2002 - Quo recorded a TV special at the BBC studios on Wood Lane for future broadcast on the ITV network. Entitled "The One and Only", the 1 hour 15 minute show was recorded in front of an invited audience of Quo fans, following requests to the FTMO fan club and via the official website message board.

30.07.2002 - to launch the "Heavy Traffic" album, Quo performed a special press gig aboard the Royal Navy aircraft carrier, The Ark Royal, on 30th July. Around 400 press, 100 lucky Fan-Club members and about 600 carrier personnel experienced a Quo event like no other, culminating in one of Quo's most bizarre live promotional performances.

The event started on platform 2 of London's Victoria railway station, where the famous Orient Express was chartered to ferry the press and fans to Southampton docks. Arriving in style at the QE2 arrivals lounge, a short coach trip whisked them out to Portsmouth and the waiting Ark Royal. The fans would be treated to the following 60 minutes live set, Quo performing "on deck" on the great ship.

17.08.2002 - a 10.000 sold out crowd saw in Tufertschwil,Switzerland a brilliant Status Quo gig. Unfortunately in between the song "4500 times" there was a breakdown of the stage lightning. The band continued to play in the dark until the lighting switched on. At the end of "Rain" the same happened again. Status Quo this time with a shortened set. They dropped Mystery Medley and Juniors Wailing from their setlist.

14.02.2003 - Quo's first ever South American Tour kicked off with two gigs in Brazil, Sao Paulo - Brazil's most populous city. Lack of decent promotion (the promoter went bust on the day of the first gig!) and no significant advertising led to disappointing ticket sales. A crowd of about 2500 saw Quo perform at the Credicard Hall in Sao Paulo.

22.02.2003Second stop on the South American leg of the "Heavy Traffic" tour was Mexico for the very first time. This part of the tour was much more successful and well promoted, leading to good crowds on both nights at the Neza soccer stadium.

25.02.2003 - Quo returned to the USA on 25th February for the first gig of a few small club gigs, kicking off at The Fillmore in San Francisco. A crowd of about 400 saw Quo in intimate surroundings.

12.03.2003 - the band appeared shortly after the US-Tour on the high-rating German TV show, "Harald Schmidt Show". The appearance featured live performances of "All Stand Up" and "Rockin' All Over The World".

28.06.2003 - Quo performed at a special weekend held by British Telecom at the Alton Towers amusement park as a celebration for their staff. They played a one hour set on each of the two days, mixing it with such illustrious company as Tony Blackburn and Madness.

The band hot-footed it from their afternoon slot at Alton Towers on the afternoon of the 28th to Petworth for their gig to 8000 there that night, arriving very late and having a rapid, minimal setup by their professional crew.

20.07.2003 - Quo fans were in for a treat when a nearby gig on the same day as the British Grand Prix was cancelled and their tickets suddenly became eligible for entry to the Silverstone Grand Prix and an after-race show by Quo! During "Bye Bye Johnny", Eddie Jordan, Jodie Marsh and Damon Hill all joined Quo on stage for the finale.
