*FACTS FROM THE ROAD:
03.12.1971 - Oxford Town Hall: The band's equipment was stolen at this gig althrough later recovered by the Oxfordshire Police. The Police officers who recovered the equipment were later made VIPs at the gig in Oxford again in 1973.
07.01.1972 - Hereford Teacher Training College: Francis recalls this was the gig the band partied heavyly with glam rocker SLADE afterwards who had played the Flamingo Club also in Hereford.

19.02.1972The gig at Coalfield Belfry Hotel Mayfair Suite (with support Jude) was cancelled due to a power cut.

10.05.1972 - a small UK tour supporting top glam artists of the day, Slade, would help Quo secure a deal to tour with the band in Australia in 1973. the publicity that Quo got during that tour earned them a fond place in the Aussie hearts and resulted in regular further tours down under.

20.05.1972 - Quo appeared at two German Festivals: one at Rheinhausen's May-Out Festival (20.5.) and the other one at the big Germersheim-Pfalz Insel Grün Festival in Germany along famous acts like The Faces, The Kinks, Rory Gallagher, Savoy Brown, Nazareth, Billy Joel and many others (22.5.) Here is a link for some very interessting facts about the 2nd British Rock Meeting  www.ger72.lima-city.de/Festival.html

29.05.1972Lincoln Bardley Great Western Festival - one of Quo's most influential appearances. This was the festival that got Quo recognised as a high class live act and cemented their change to the 12-bar boogie rock that would prove to be their trademark for decades to come.
