*FACTS FROM THE ROAD:
17.11.2010 - Quo appeared with a myriad pop & music stars at the Prince's Trust Rock Gala 2010, held at the Royal Albert Hall on November 17th. Quo opened the show with "Rockin' All Over The World" and then played "Whatever You Want" to the packed house which included the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall in its audience. Rick told the BBC: "To me it felt like a little Live Aid tonight with Queen and Phil and Midge here, and us opening with Rockin' All Over the World." The Prince's Trust all star house band was led by Midge Ure, with Mark King on bass, Mark Brzezicki (Big Country) on drums and Jamie Callum on piano. Hosted by Dame Edna Everage, a series of stellar performers took turns to front the band including Alison Moyet and Phil Collins, before Mike and the Mechanics brought the first half of the show to a close. In the second half Jools Holland welcomed Sir Tom Jones and Paloma Faith and Eric Clapton showed why is is hailed as one of the world's greatest guitarists.
Brian May and Roger Taylor from Queen brought the show to a close with an amazing performance from Keane's Tom Chaplain. The whole line up sang We Will Rock You as a finale (although Quo were notably missing)
31.03.2011 - Quo headlined The Rock Ball at London's Hurlingham Club on Thursday March 31st. The special show was in aid of Rick Parfitt Jnr charity for victims of Crohns disease: 'The RPJ Crohns Foundation'. The event received broad press coverage both before and after it took place. Status Quo bandmates Francis Rossi and Rick Parfitt are helping to increase awareness of Crohn's disease - an illness suffered by Pariftt's son. The Rock Ball was organised by Rick Parfitt Jnr who set up The RPJ Crohn's Foundation to raise funds for Crohn's Colitis UK.
22.05.2011 - Quo performed a private concert in Falkenberg, Sweden, on May 22nd. The event was the staff party for the SKAB Group and marked the 100th anniversary of the company. The party attracted some 550 guests in the Falk Hall and many local artists provided entertainment during the day. The fact that Quo were to perform at the party was kept secret until it was announced by Thomas Anderson (CEO of SKAB Group) together with his sidekick comedian, Per Andersson. Quo kicked off with "Caroline" (of course!) and went on to perform a well-received 50-minute set.
26.11.2011 - Quo played a private gig for the employees of the Pall-Ex group of companies on 26th November 2011. Pall-Ex members ADD Express, Premier Logistics and Gibbs Transport were all recognised award winners at the pallet distribution giant’s annual dinner dance attended by nearly 400 guests at the Lancaster London Hotel and were entertained by Quo and UK comedienne Vicki Stone.
